Pattishall Parish Development Plan

Pattishall Parish Council (PPC) is continuing to make good progress as we work closely with West Northants Council (WNC) to prepare to implement their new Local Plan (the WNLP). The WNLP will set out the vision for West Northants from 2028 to 2043. The Local Plan will include new development, both housing and industrial, where it will be, and how it will be managed, to ensure the best outcome for residents

It is very important that all our parishioners have an input into this and we are arranging Community Events to ensure this happens – under the banner “Have Your Say”. It is also important that we get the timing of these events right.

In the coming weeks WNC will be very focussed on completing the Regulation 19 stage and this will include the last formal Consultation on the WNLP and finalising the official version which they will submit to the government’s Planning Inspectorate for examination. This will include the exact number of new homes Pattishall Parish will be allocated for building by 2043.

PPC are also mindful that the determination of the Outline Planning Application for up to 41 new dwellings on land north of Fosters Booth Road (2025/5247/MAO) is due soon. Many residents, as well as PPC, have objected to this Outline Application.

With the above in mind PPC have agreed with WNC that whilst October is the right time to complete a new Housing Needs Survey for Pattishall Parish, we should reschedule our Local Survey Questionnaire until Q1 2027. At this time, we will have the finalised version of the WNLP, and hope that the Outline Planning Application of the site north of Fosters Booth Road has been determined. We will also have the WNC Report for the Housing Needs Survey which parishioners will have completed in October/November 2026.

Pattishall Housing Needs Survey launch event

• Open meeting for all residents hosted by West Northants Council and Pattishall Parish Council

This is a drop in event with information display boards, WNC and Parish councillors will be present to answer any questions you may have. At this event, hosted by WNC, we will launch the Pattishall Housing Needs Survey (HNS) questionnaire. Information gathered from this questionnaire will help WNC assess the future housing needs of the parish.

The HNS can be completed online via the parish website and will also be available as a paper copy at the event and from Pattishall Parish Council. It will be open for responses from the meeting onwards until 16^th November.
