The Footpath Warden duties would entail

  1. Walking the PROWs (Public Rights of Ways) a few times a year and:-
  2. Be responsible for seeing that stiles and gates on the footpath network of the parish were kept free of infringement by undergrowth and :-
  3. Ensure waymark signs are clearly visible and:-
  4. Carry out minor repairs to stiles and gates as necessary and:-
  5. Report any more serious damage to stiles and gates to the Rights of Way Officer at Kiers who manage the position on behalf of West Northants Council

The Council has a definitive map of the numbered PROWs in the Parish and has produced a schedule of all the stiles and gates on the Council’s Parish Mapping system so records will be readily available.

The position does not entail becoming a Parish Councillor but a monthly report would be required by the Council for review at the monthly Parish Meetings to bring any issues to the Council’s attention.

Come and assist in keeping our Parish footpaths clear and accessible for the enjoyment of Parishioners and the General Public.

The present incumbent will still be available to give assistance and guidance.
