Pattishall Parish Development Plan

West Northants Council (WNC) are developing a new Local Plan (WNLP). This will set out their vision for West Northants from 2028 to 2043. The Local Plan will include new development, housing and industrial, where it will be, and how it will be managed, to ensure the best outcome for residents. Pattishall Parish Council (PPC) are working with WNC at the current draft stage.

The PPC sub committee are making good progress on understanding the implications and opportunities, that the WNLP may have for the parish. There is work to do as a parish council and as a community to ensure the best outcome before the new WNLP, which is expected to be finalised and adopted in late 2027.

WNC have been instructed by Government to plan for more housing and industrial development. Whilst this will be focused on the main towns, rural areas are not exempt. Pattishall Parish is expected to accommodate approximately 69 new homes by 2043.

It is important that residents have opportunity to get involved and have their say, so we have planned two community events at the Parish Hall:

• Tuesday 29th September 5-8pm
• Tuesday 20th October 2-9pm

This is a drop in event with information displays and parish councillors available to answer your questions.

The Parish Council will launch a Local Survey to hear resident’s views of their experience of the area and how the parish needs to develop in the future.

The survey, an online questionnaire, (also available as a paper copy), will open for responses at the event and close on – to be confirmed.

The feedback will help formulate our response to the WNC Local plan – the final draft is due in November 2026 – as well as shaping the Pattishall Parish Development Plan.

Tuesday 20th October  – WNC Housing needs survey

This is a drop in event hosted by West Northants Council to launch a survey, which will assess the future housing needs of the parish.

The survey, an online questionnaire, (also available as a paper copy), will open for responses at the event and close on 17 November 2026.

The Parish Council will be in attendance to help with questions.
